The Carderock Springs Elementary School Educational Foundation (CSESEF) was started by Carderock parents in 2001 to assist the school community in offsetting tough budget constraints from Montgomery County. These budget constraints have persisted into the next decade and the Foundation continues to fill in the gaps where necessary to ensure that our children can thrive in a topnotch educational environment. The Foundation relies on contributions from CSES parents to achieve its goals and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.

To accomplish the Foundation's mission, we have been raising money annually to support a number of projects that enhance student achievement, staff development, and capital improvements. These include the CSES technology program, facility upgrades in the new school building, and most recently, the new Mini-Grant program providing instructional materials and support to our teachers in the classroom. We anticipate additional Mini-Grant requests by teachers this year and for years to come, as well as necessary improvements to the building and grounds and additional educational resources and programs for our staff and students.
